Sakshi  | Updated: November 20, 2013 09:07 (IST) వీడియోకి క్లిక్ చేయండి నాగాయలంక : కృష్ణా జిల్లా నాగాయలంక వద్ద సముద్రంలో మత్స్యకారులు చిక్కుబడిపోయారు. స్వర్లగొంది సమీపంలోని వేటకోసం సముద్రానికి వెళ్లిన 25 మంది మత్యకారులు చిక్కుకున్నారు. డీజిల్‌ అయిపోవడంతో సముద్రంలోనే బోట్లు నిలిచిపోయాయి. పశ్చిమ మధ్య బంగాళాఖాతంలో వాయుగుండం ఏర్పడిన సమయంలో మత్స్యకారులు సముద్రంలో చిక్కుకోవడంతో మత్స్యకార కుటుంబాల్లో తీవ్ర ఆందోళన నెలకొంది. మరోవైపు పశ్చిమ మధ్య బంగాళాఖాతంలో ఏర్పడ్డ వాయుగుండం నేడు తీవ్రవాయుగుండంగా మారే అవకాశం ఉందని వాతావరణ శాఖ ప్రకటించింది. రేపు చెన్నై-ఒంగోలు మధ్య తీరందాటే అవకాశం ఉందని తెలిపింది. దీని ప్రభావంతో కోస్తాంధ్ర జిల్లాలకు వర్ష సూచనతో పాటు గంటకు 45-55 కి.మీ వేగంతో ఈదురు గాలులు వీస్తాయని వెల్లడించింది. మత్స్యకారులు వేటకు వెళ్లొద్దని హెచ్చరికలు జారీ చేసింది. దాంతో అన్ని పోర్టుల్లో ఒకటో నంబర్ ప్రమాద హెచ్చరికలు జారీ అయ్యాయి.  

Sakshi  | Updated: July 22, 2014 02:24 (IST)   తక్కువ పెట్టుబడితో ఎక్కువ లాభాలు   ఒక్కో పీతకు రూ.600 లాభం   సొర్లగొందిలో సిబా ఆధ్వర్యంలో ప్రయోగాత్మకంగా సాగు   ముందుకొస్తున్న మత్స్యకారులు ట్రే కేజ్ పద్ధతి.. ప్రస్తుతం పీతల వ్యాపారంలో లాభాలు తెచ్చిపెడుతున్న సరికొత్త విధానం. పీతల అమ్మకాల్లో దళారుల బారినపడి నష్టపోతున్న వారికి ఇది ఎంతో ప్రయోజనకరం. నాగాయలంక మండలం సొర్లగొందిలో సెంట్రల్ ఇన్‌స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ బ్రాకిష్ వాటర్ ఆక్వా కల్చర్ (సిబా) ఆధ్వర్యంలో ప్రయోగాత్మకంగా ఈ పద్ధతిపై పీతల సాగుకు శ్రీకారం చుట్టారు. తక్కువ పెట్టుబడితో ఎక్కువ లాభాలు ఆర్జిస్తున్నారు. రాష్ట్రంలో తొలి   సారిగా చేపట్టిన ఈ    పద్ధతిపై మత్స్యకారులు ఆసక్తి కనబరుస్తున్నారు. నాగాయలంక : సాధారణంగా ఎస్టీలు ఎక్కువగా పీతలు పడుతుంటారు. జిల్లాలోని నాగాయలంక, కోడూరు, అవనిగడ్డ మండలాల్లో నదీపాయలు, సముద్రతీర ప్రాంతంలో కొక్కేలు ఉపయోగించి వీటిని వేటాడతారు. ఆ తరువాత మత్స్యకారులు వలలతో పచ్చపీతలు పడతారు. ఈ మండలాల నుంచి రోజుకు 1,500 నుంచి 2వేల కిలోల పీతలు ఎగుమతవుతుంటాయి. బరువును బట్...

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu has announced that the Janmabhoomi -  Mana vooru programme would be held from October 2 to 20 in the State. In a video conference with officials - from district collectors to mandal level officers, Mr. Naidu directed them to prepare lists of eligible beneficiaries for enhanced pensions and synchronise the benefits with Aadhaar numbers to weed out ineligible persons. Mr. Naidu asked officers to give priority for five campaigns for 100 per cent construction of individual toilets in all villages, plantation of trees, recharging of ground water, enrollment of school children in schools and health and sanitation. He made it clear that irregularities in selection of beneficiaries would not be tolerated as government would be spending Rs 5,000 crore on pensions to help poorest of the poor. April 6, 2013 00:08 IST   Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO) Secunderabad research team has completed its first phase of geographic land suitability study to set up a long-range missile launch facility. Land marking of 321 acres alienated in Nagayalanka mandal in Krishna Delta has been completed, revenue officials said. In August 2011, State Forest and Revenue Authorities had alienated 321 acres in Sorlagondi Reserve Forest in Nagayalanka mandal and recommended the site for DRDO’s proposal for construction of the Rs.1,000-crore project. Director-General of DRDO, V. K. Saraswat, confirmed the proposal for the missile launch facility in Krishna District in November 2012.
